Plus I wanna support AMD because if AMD dies we all will be screwed. I will stick to amd regardless of who is "winning". Last year it was pointed out intel paid for "exclusive rights" for Dell or whatever and all this other ****.Īnyway it's all up to you. I also am not a fan of intel for all the **** lately. But over the years I realized for me AMD was the choice.īasically it all boils down to what you like. I realized that further down the line it came down to chips, power, thermal paste, cooler. But when I started doing more research and work into computers I realized that there's always different choices.įrom this I went to playing with all kinds of pc's. I loved that computer because It was somethin my parents bought me and I was a noob at the time.

But I have went with amd after my stock pre built pc. It's not only the overclockablity and speed it's the fact that amd chips run cooler. Honestly I went amd because after benching amd k8s, athlons and intel p3s/4s I like amd. The basic issue he has (I think) is with the overclockers motherboard list not being exactly friendly, with 3 different options for motherboards on each of the 1366 or 1156. Sorry if it came across as flamebait, he's just used to AMD but hears that i7 is better so wants opinions. Now choosing between the 11 i7 can be hard if you're not an absolute enthusiast, that I can understand.įrom his post, it looks like he has already made his mind, and his intention is to start a flame war. Why is the Intel hard to understand? It's pretty easy, just take the 1-2 minutes to do the research and you'll understand what CPU goes in what motherboard, it's pretty damn simple. From a pure performance standpoint, the i7 (take either socket 1156 i7 or 1366 i7), it will just blow away the Phenom II x4 in most if not all tests. The AMD Phenom II x4 is no way faster on paper. I don't know where you're getting the 6FPS difference from.
